How to Stake EDEN

To stake/unstake EDEN/xEDEN, visit https://portal.openeden.com/governance?chain=mainnet and connect your wallet

Then, follow these steps:

Staking EDEN

• To stake EDEN, click on “Stake” and ensure you hold EDEN tokens.

• Input the amount of EDEN you want to stake.

• Click “Stake EDEN”.

• Sign the transaction with your wallet.

• Once your transaction is successful and the blockchain confirmations are done, you will receive xEDEN immediately.

Unstaking xEDEN

• To unstake xEDEN, click on “Unstake” and ensure you hold xEDEN tokens.

• Input the amount of xEDEN you want to unstake.

• Click “Unstake xEDEN”.

• Sign the transaction with your wallet.

• There is a 7-day window after unstaking xEDEN. After that window is over, head to “Staking History” to claim and withdraw your EDEN.

Your transactions for staking EDEN and unstaking xEDEN are recorded in “Staking History”.

Important Notes:

• The value of xEDEN is in EDEN.

• For xEDEN holders, you only need to hold xEDEN, and your EDEN rewards will accumulate automatically.

• At TGE, 1 xEDEN is valued at 1 EDEN. However, as time passes, the value of xEDEN to EDEN will gradually increase.

• This is because rewards are accumulated within the xEDEN staking contract, resulting in the value of xEDEN increasing over time.

• OpenEden implemented a protocol reward mechanism, which results in the xEDEN staking contract receiving EDEN over time.

• You can unstake your xEDEN at any time. When you do, you’ll receive EDEN based on the current redemption rate, which reflects both your original staked amount and the value growth of xEDEN since the time you staked.

• This also means that in the future, while you might receive less xEDEN than the amount of EDEN staked, the value of xEDEN will always be equal to or greater than the EDEN you staked.

• Rewards are tabulated and fixed once you unstake xEDEN.

• Once you unstake xEDEN, you will no longer earn xEDEN’s rewards.

• There is a 7-day window after unstaking xEDEN. After that window is over, head to “Staking History” to claim and withdraw your EDEN.
